Art inspired by Wildlife in The Midlands

My name is Tracey and I live in Staffordshire with my husband and five pets. I have always had a passion for wildlife conservation and art. This website is where I bring these two interests together to share with you.

I care deeply about our local wildlife and the environments they live. Working as a professional biodiversity specialist, I actively strive to make a difference in my day job and am lucky to work with some truly inspirational conservationists. My artwork is an outlet to share this interest with you and not for making money or social media likes. If you like my work and decide to buy anything from my shop, I will be thrilled but equally, I'd be happy that you just browsed.

I'm lucky enough to know some fabulous photographers too who have given me permission to draw and paint their work. I also use my own photographs or free artist reference materials, as inspiration.

The artwork is dedicated to the flora and fauna of the Midlands region and I work in a number of mediums including pastel paintings, colour pencil, linoprint and watercolour.

I plan to create artwork that highlights the diverse range of species we have on our doorstep from jumping salmon in Shropshire and Staffordshire, avocets and bitterns near Birmingham, otters, dormice, pine martins, rare plants and trees. Our urban, city, rural, agricultural, riverine landscapes and estuaries are very special. I hope that my artwork highlights this biodiversity in the region and maybe make you feel differently, as we do have a "wild midlands".
